Job Description
Sajha Dhago is a non-profit distributing company established in 2022. It provides a unique group (recovery) program for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, natural disasters, war/conflict, and displacement. It incorporates traditional practices with current trauma-based treatment intervention which allows access to treatment and flexibility in a variety of cultural contexts for trauma survivors. The translator is responsible for the following responsibilities and duties.

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Translation Services:
• Provide high-quality translations of written documents, such as brochures, educational materials, reports, and online content, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the original message’s intent.
• Conduct consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, workshops, training sessions, and events, enabling effective communication among participants.
• Collaborate with staff members to translate internal communications, policies, and procedures, ensuring all team members have access to relevant information.
2. Proofreading and Editing:
• Review translations for grammar, syntax, and formatting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to revise and improve translated materials based on feedback and organizational guidelines.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of translation glossaries, style guides, and other resources to enhance translation quality and consistency.

Requirement/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Major English or any related field.
• Must have local language transcribing ability.
• Must have ability to work remotely.
• Should have good communication and writing skills in both English and Nepali.

Salary:
As per the provision of Sajha Dhago policy.
