Sita Maya Thing Lama is a highly experienced mental health professional with over 18 years of practice in counseling, psychotherapy, and psychosocial support. She specializes in Gestalt psychotherapy and integrates evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Problem Management Plus (PM+), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Her work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care, incorporating somatic interventions, Trauma Release Exercise (TRE), mindfulness, and narrative practices.
Sita has worked extensively with women, children, and survivors of gender-based violence, trafficking, and trauma, supporting their healing and resilience. She currently serves as a counselor at Mankaa Kura and as a trainer at the Gestalt Institute of Nepal, while also consulting for various organizations.
