Hi, I’m Juliana. This June, I’m turning 29, and I want to celebrate it a little differently.
Instead of cake and candles, I’m lacing up my running shoes and committing to run for 29 minutes every day for 29 days — one for each year I’ve lived — to raise $2,900 for Sajha Dhago, a community-led healing space that supports women and families navigating trauma and systemic harm in Nepal.
UPDATE: I sprained my ankle in the second week of June and had to take a rest for recovery for the rest of the month. While I was walking every day in June, I couldn’t run. From 1 July I’ve resumed running I’m extending the fundraiser till 16 July 2025 (32 Asar 2082 BS) to raise funds for this impactful cause! Join along 🙂

Why Sajha Dhago?
Sajha Dhago is a space of deep listening, collective healing, and grassroots care. They run “circles”: safe, intentional gatherings where women can come together, share stories, grieve, rebuild trust, and reclaim their dignity.
Each circle is grounded in the wisdom of Nepali cultural practices and designed to respond to complex trauma, especially for those impacted by displacement, poverty, or violence. These aren’t one-time events, they’re sustained containers of community and healing.
In a time when global uncertainty and shifting priorities in the development world have made it harder for women-led and community-rooted work to receive consistent support, spaces like Sajha Dhago feel not just important, but urgently necessary.
$2,900 funds one complete circle; including resources, facilitation, care work, and follow-up support.

Why I’m Running
Running has helped me feel grounded in my own body, and it’s where I often process the hard things — stress, confusion, hope, longing. This birthday, I want to turn that personal ritual into collective action by supporting a space that offers healing not just to individuals, but to entire communities.
Every rupee or dollar you give brings us closer to one full circle, and one step closer to a world where care and connection come before silence and stigma.
