We dreamed of a space where survivors of violence and trauma could find healing…
When we first imagined Sajha Dhago, we dreamed of a space where survivors of violence and trauma could find healing not just in words, but in action: in the quiet rhythm of a needle and thread, in the safety of a circle, in the courage to say, “This is my story.“
Sajha Dhago Trauma Healing Intervention is a holistic, community-based approach that supports trauma recovery through mental health, body-based, non-violent, and creative healing practices.
Provides emotional, psychological, and social support to individuals and communities affected by trauma, helping them cope, build resilience, and improve overall well-being.
A body-based approach that supports the release of deep stress and trauma through gentle physical exercises, promoting relaxation and nervous system regulation.
A participatory, experiential program that strengthens self-awareness, empathy, non-violent communication, and conflict transformation skills.
Uses creative and expressive methods such as art, storytelling, slow stitching, and movement to foster healing, self-expression, and emotional safety. It is done for the facilitator, clinical supervisor, or any other service provider for their overall well-being, as they are most likely to have secondary trauma exposure.
Through art-based trauma healing circles
For practitioners, facilitators, and community workers
With significant emotional regulation improvement
Evidence-based plus traditional healing practices
And expanding regional reach
